Farmers Markets
The Gippsland Region has the largest number of farmers’ markets in Victoria, selling fresh produce direct from the growers. Farmers markets are held each weekend at Koonwarra, Drouin, Tyers, Sale and Bairnsdale. Visitor information centres in the region provide brochures of individual markets and what is in season.

Lakes Entrance has a spectacular position on the edge of Ninety Mile Beach where the Gippsland Lakes meet the Southern Ocean. A friendly seaside town, you can go fishing, walking and sailing from this region.

Tara Bulga National Park

Tall magnificent specimens of mountain ash and blackwood trees are a feature of the beautiful Tarra Bulga National Park. You can take a day trip or picnic and explore native bushland via well maintained tracks. Look out for lyrebirds, wombats, wallabies and more. Bird life is prolific and the sounds of the bellbird’s lyrical call will enchant you.
